Hearing Loss Counselor, Workshops – MA
Help for understanding and navigating the experience of hearing loss — in schools, at home, and in life.

Hearing devices help but they do not restore typical hearing for people with hearing loss. The pressure to keep up can lead to miscommunication, misunderstanding, and increased stress at home and at school.
Children, teens, and adults with hearing loss often need support to:
- advocate for themselves
- solve communication challenges
- manage stress
- improve self-esteem
Schools, parents, agencies, senior centers, and others also need support to maintain positive supportive relationships with individuals with hearing loss in the mainstream.
I'm a licensed mental health counselor and I specialize in helping people understand and navigate the social and emotional impact of hearing loss, through the following services:
I grew up with my own hearing loss in the mainstream. I'm known internationally as an expert on the experience of hearing loss and self-advocacy, especially for children and teenagers. More about me >
I serve schools, families, and others in or near Central and Western Massachusetts. Contact me for help with navigating the experience of hearing loss.
